The Anna Gong Cake Stand in mirror-polished stainless steel captures your heart with her sweet expression. She is Mendini's tribute to the legendary folding cake stand "art. 898", one of Alessi's best-sellers in the 1960s.
When folded, the Anna Gong Folding Cake Stand assumes the identity of Mendini's famous "Anna G" icon. Unfolded, it becomes an elegant accessory with three serving plates for entertaining. A whimsical addition to the "Anna" collection.

Born in Milan in 1931, former director of Casabella, Modo and Domus, winner of a Compasso d'Oro and designer of the Groninger Museum in Groningen, the Casino in Arosa, the Forum in Omegna, he is a designer, architect and image consultant for Philips, Swarovski, Swatch, and Bisazza.

Alessi is a family owned Italian design company, founded in 1921. Giovanni Alessi, a talented sheet metal worker, produced items by hand for the table and home out of copper, brass and nickel-silver. He was later joined by his son Carlo who was responsible for many of the designs produced in the 1930s and early 1940s. In the mid 1940s Alessi began to work with outside designers. The current Alessi catalog is the result of a collaboration with over 500 designers from all over the world.
