"mysqueeze" was awarded the Pure Creativity 2009 award organized by mydeco.com, awarded by a jury chaired by Philippe Starck and Sir Terence Conran. Heir apparent to the Juicy Salif, Philippe Starck's iconic citrus-squeezer, "mysqueeze" is part of Alessi's 2010 Object Bijou collection.

Designer: Roland Kreiter

Born in Romania in 1983 and raised in Germany, Roland Kreiter is a trained model maker and is studying Industrial Design at Darmstadt. His first practical experience came when he worked for five months in Philippe Starck's studio in Paris. Kreiter's design is minimalist, authentic and emotionally influenced. He analyzes and interprets his environment to inspire his audience.

Alessi is a family owned Italian design company, founded in 1921. Giovanni Alessi, a talented sheet metal worker, produced items by hand for the table and home out of copper, brass and nickel-silver. He was later joined by his son Carlo who was responsible for many of the designs produced in the 1930s and early 1940s. In the mid 1940s Alessi began to work with outside designers. The current Alessi catalog is the result of a collaboration with over 500 designers from all over the world.
