The TC01 Nice - Double Wall Bowl is Alessi's tribute to the legendary Sir Terence Conran in celebration of his eightieth birthday. A designer who greatly influenced the landscape of English interior design in the 1960s and 1970s, Conran is also an entrepreneur and pioneer in the distribution of designer furniture, as well as an extremely successful restaurateur.
The "Nice" Bowl is made of mirror-polished 18/10 stainless steel. With an 8" diameter and a gently ribbed exterior, this bowl makes a stunning accessory or serving piece.

Sir Terence Conran is one of the world's best-known designers, restaurateurs and retailers. Born in 1931 in Kingston upon Thames, he founded the Habitat chain of home furnishings stores that revolutionized the UK High Street in the 1960s and 1970s by bringing intelligent, modern design within reach of the general population.
Today he is Chairman of the Conran Group which owns restaurants, shops and hotels in exciting cities around the world and has a thriving architecture and design practice Conran & Partners, who work on major projects worldwide with a particular focus on Asia where they are working on major projects in India, Japan, Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur.
Sir Terence Conran was knighted in 1983. He is a winner of the Chartered Society of Designers Minerva Medal, the Society's highest award. Since 2003, he has been provost of the Royal College of Art. That was also the year he received the Prince Phillip Designers Prize, in recognition of his lifetime achievements in design. In 2007, he received an honorary degree from London South Bank University. Alessi is a family owned Italian design company, founded in 1921. Giovanni Alessi, a talented sheet metal worker, produced items by hand for the table and home out of copper, brass and nickel-silver. He was later joined by his son Carlo who was responsible for many of the designs produced in the 1930s and early 1940s. In the mid 1940s Alessi began to work with outside designers. The current Alessi catalog is the result of a collaboration with over 500 designers from all over the world.
