Two transparent shells enclose the dial and hands of Alessi's Sole Wall Clock. An exercise in "differentiated series", which Mendini holds dear, this manufacturing concept allows the creation of as many variations of the "Sole" clock as his imagination can handle.
Made of thermoplastic resin, the Sole Wall Clock is available in Red or with Mirror decoration. Quartz movement.

Contemporary and Very Unique design

After searching thousands of wall clocks online, I found this wall clock which is quite modern and unique. Received this well within the delivery time frame and its packed so very well. It looks really awesome when you actually open the box and see the clock first time. Background mirror is really good and back of the hands are painted in yellow. Its soo different from the rest. I am quite happy with my purchase. YLiving customer service were very helpful in answering my queries about the product.

Even before I purchased this wall clock, I knew I would like it because of its contemporary design, ease of operation, and, vibrant color (red). Plus, the knowledge that YLVING just like YLIGHTING has products to die for. This clock is proudly displayed in the hallway leading to my living room and everybody who sees it takes a second look. They marvel at its simplicity and minimalist elegance.

Born in Milan in 1931, former director of Casabella, Modo and Domus, winner of a Compasso d'Oro and designer of the Groninger Museum in Groningen, the Casino in Arosa, the Forum in Omegna, he is a designer, architect and image consultant for Philips, Swarovski, Swatch, and Bisazza.

Alessi is a family owned Italian design company, founded in 1921. Giovanni Alessi, a talented sheet metal worker, produced items by hand for the table and home out of copper, brass and nickel-silver. He was later joined by his son Carlo who was responsible for many of the designs produced in the 1930s and early 1940s. In the mid 1940s Alessi began to work with outside designers. The current Alessi catalog is the result of a collaboration with over 500 designers from all over the world.
