Cross High Table, Round
Crafted by some of the most respected designers in the world, Alias products are highly expressive and yet minimalist in style. Their story began in 1979 with Giandomenico Belotti's "Spaghetti Chair", one of Alias's first creations to become part of the MoMA collection in New York City. All Alias products are manufactured in Italy at plants located within 30 miles of their facilities at Grumello del Monte and Motta di Livenza. Alias consistently seeks to minimize environmental impact through policies involving every phase of its operations.
Design is a true vocation for Alias, even in the choice of its designers — well-known international names from different generations and with different training, such as: Giandomenico Belotti, Alberto Meda, Jasper Morrison, Patrick Norguet, Alfredo Häberli, James Irvine, and Michele de Lucchi. Over the years, Alias has established a special working relationship with each of these names, and the Alias inclination towards experimentation has fostered in every project the development of each designer's own particular qualities.
Alfredo Häberli was born in 1964 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied industrial design in Switzerland. Today, he is a well-known international designer based in Zurich. In his designs, Häberli successfully combines tradition and renewal. There is joy and energy in his designs.
The human being is the starting point of Häberli's design process. His objects and structures are designed to be used. He is unprejudiced and inventive in his observation of the actual situation in which an object is used and does not create form for the sake of it.
Based on his insights, Häberli designs changes to the archetypes of objects that have developed through the times, which makes the everyday objects around people fit this time and the situation they are used in precisely.View other products by Alfredo Haberli
