The Banker's Clock from designer Arne Jacobsen, features hour markers comprised of twelve stacked squares, each with a blackened space to mark the hour of day. This clever design dates to 1971 and is a fully authorized re-edition by the Arne Jacobsen estate.
Danish architect Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971), and master of total design, created the classic Banker's Clock for the Danish National Bank (1971). Beginning in the summer of 2009, production has been handed to the Danish design firm and watchmaker Rosendahl Copenhagen who have taken careful steps to reproduce the clocks according to the original Jacobsen drawings. Select from two sizes.
Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) was trained as a bricklayer and graduated from The Technical Society's school in 1924 and Copenhagen Art Academy 1927. In 1928 he received the Academy's gold medal, but prior to this, when only 23, he was awarded a silver medal at the 1925 Paris World Exhibition — the first of numerous honours that became a natural accompaniment to his artistic activities, his untiring search and his brilliant conceptions, made manifest by many successes in competitions at home and abroad.
The Arne Jacobsen Wall Clock dates to 1971 and is a fully authorized re-edition by the Arne Jacobsen estate.

The clock arrived very promptly and the design works extremely well in our excercise room. I would not hesitate to order again.
Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
Y-Tower
Y-Tower is the primary support structure of Herman Miller's SAYL™ Chair. The Y-Tower retains tension, replacing the traditional frame of task chairs. It works like the towers from which a bridge is suspended and combines with a 3D Intelligent suspension material to provide frameless back support that hugs the user's back from resting through reclining, forward leaning and twisting motions.
