Peter Maly designed this Two Piece Andiron Set out of necessity. The designer had a hard time finding something for his own fireplace when he came up with the idea to design his own fireplace accessory collection. The collection started with the creation of two tongs and ended with this Two Piece Andiron Set. Despite the beauty these Andirons contribute to the fireplace, they are especially useful for maintaining a fire. By lifting the wood up, air is able to feed the fire. The more air getting to the wood, the better the fire. Regardless of whether or not these Andirons are in use, they make lovely modern staples for any fireplace.
