Designer: Jordi Miralbell
Jordi Miralbell, born in 1953, studied at Barcelona's Elisava school of design between 1974 and 1977. Two years later, he and Mariona Raventós set up their own interior and graphic design studio, m&j, in Barcelona. In 1986, they started designing pieces of furniture, lighting and complements through their new production company, Neo-Series, that demonstrated their craftwork style. Their conception of design led them in 1989 to become a part of Santa & Cole and they ended up becoming partners of the company.
Miralbell and Raventós were responsible afterwards for the art direction of Santa & Cole, and as a part of the editorial committee they selected the products that the firm would edit. Many pieces of furniture and lighting elements edited by Santa & Cole at that time wore their signatures. Jordi Miralbell has put into practice for many years his good taste and know-how as Santa & Cole's Indoor editor.

Mariona Raventós, born in 1955, studied at Barcelona's Elisava school of design between 1974 and 1977. Two years later, she and Jordi Miralbell set up their own interior and graphic design studio, m&j, in Barcelona. In 1986, they started designing pieces of furniture, lighting and complements through their new production company, Neo-Series, that demonstrated their craftwork style. Their conception of design led them in 1989 to become a part of Santa & Cole, for which they had already designed some pieces of furniture, and they ended up becoming partners of the company.
Miralbell and Raventós were responsible afterwards for the art direction of Santa & Cole, and as a part of the editorial committee they selected the products that the firm would edit. Many pieces of furniture and lighting elements edited by Santa & Cole at that time wore their signatures. Their lighting elements offer different ways to give light thanks to parchment, wood, raffia or cotton and their poetic forms, thus reflecting the team's conception on life: "design is the art of turning what is practical into a desired thing, into human warmness, into something that men have created."

Since 1985, when Javier Nieto Santa, Gabriel Ordeig Cole and Nina Masó founded Santa & Cole, the sole purpose of the company has been industrial design, an art consisting of seeking the best of each object in order to offer a more pleasant experience in everyday life. Hence, Santa & Cole edit elements of domestic and urban furniture and lighting in a range that is only apparently disperse, converging upon a single concern: not to accumulate, but rather to select; not to enjoy quantity, but rather quality.
