Design by Josh Owen.
Solid, simple, and ceremonial. Menorah is made of solid cast iron and has the heft expected of the material, giving it a sense of solidity. There is an honesty in the singularity of the iron material which suggests this object could age and continue to look even more beautiful as it acquires a patina from continual use. The thoughtful design features an integrated tray to catch wax drippings and a safe resting place for a used match while it is still hot. Select from Black or Speckle.
Menorah is included in the permanent collection of The National Museum of American Jewish History.

A gorgeous and functional design. I give it an A+!
Not Your Bubbie's Menorah!
By: Rocky, Homeowner (Toronto, Canada)
I am a fan of contemporary design. Almost every item I buy has some design element. Even our dustbuster has design pedigree (the now out-of-production Karim Rashid designed Kone for Dirt Devil), for G-d's sake! Yet, when my wife and I began to accumulate our Judaica a little over 10 years ago, it was as if our ancesters hadn't left the shtetl. Finally though, designers are paying attention to this underserviced niche. The Josh Owen menorah is even more beautiful in person than its online photograph suggests - and its cast iron design gives the menorah heft and a strong presence. Another reason to look forward to Channukah! We might have to buy 2 more so that our children don't eventually fight over who gets it!
