Original design by Alvar Aalto, 1933.
Reinterpreted by Artek.
Aalto's Children's Stool NE60 Moomin has a few new friends in this 2013 reinterpretation of the chair from Artek. For the Moomin series, Artek selected a set of Moomin characters from Tove Jansson's beloved black and white drawings of the 1950's. Select one of three personalities - Moomintroll, Snufkin or Little My - for the white laminate seat top. These reproduced sketchings are characterized by a highly developed visual style that complements the simplicity of the birch wood child's stool and offers a touch of comic whimsy.
