The Itis Table Lamp provides direct task and diffused LED lighting. Recently re-engineered, the Itis now uses a stronger LED resulting in a 20% increase in light output. The stem pivots at the base, up to 90° while the head rotates up to 180°. Body, base and head are made of steel with a painted finish in White or Black and a side diffuser in transparent polycarbonate. Touch dimmer is incorporated on the base. Black cord.

Born in Yamanashi Prefecture in 1956, Naoto Fukasawa graduated from Tama Art University in 1980. He went to the United States in 1989 and joined the San Francisco deign firm ID Two, the predecessor to IDEO, where he worked on a number of products related to Silicon Valley computing and electronics technology. In 1996, he returned to Japan to start and head up IDEO's Tokyo office. While acting as a design consultant to major Japanese companies, he also held design workshops - the without thought workshops - with young designers. During the first workshop, he came up with the design for the wall-mounted CD player, selected by MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) in New York for its permanent collection in 2004. As of 2005, he began concurrently acting as a professor at Musashino Art University, a visiting professor at Tama Art University and a special lecturer of interdisciplinary information studies at Tokyo University Graduate School.View other products by Naoto Fukasawa
