The Logico Suspension Single was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Gerard Reichert.

Logico is originated from the idea of organizing a system starting from the light diffusion: the sophisticated blown glass diffuser is used in different versions and its modular shape lends itself to the creation of numerous light compositions. The lower edge of the diffuser is cut with a diamond-edged blade. The design, complex and modular, allows creating numerous compositions of lights and forms.

The Logico Series represents a departure from traditional glassblowing with its complex form. Hand-blown glass with satin finish. The Logico Single Suspension Light is available in three sizes, all of which feature a diffuser supporting frame in die-cast aluminum with pale grey matte lacquer finish and frame supporting cables in stainless steel. Grey thermoplastic cover; mounts to standard electrical junction box. Available in incandescent or fluorescent lamp configurations (not included).

Michele de Lucchi

Born in 1951 in Ferrara, Italy, Michele De Lucchi studied in Padua and Florence, graduating with his architectural degree in 1975. A prominent symbol in experimental architecture, Michele De Lucchi was well known in the Cavart, Alchymia and Memphis movements. Not only has he designed lighting fixtures and furniture for the most prominent producers in Europe, he has developed many theories of the evolution of the workplace, and accomplished "experimental products" for Compaq Computers, Philips, Siemens and Vitra.

In 1973 Michele De Lucchi partnered with other designers and architects to create Cavert, which was considered a radical design group during that time. Kartell discovered his artistry in 1978 and hired him in Milan to design for Centrokappa. He later met up with Ettore Sottsass and joined the Studio Alchimia designers. Between his many creations he became a design consultant for Olivetti in 1979. In 1990 Michele De Lucchi founded a small lighting company, Produzione Privata, to produce lighting that could disregard the requirements of mass production and be made by craftsmen using traditional techniques.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple, elegant and funky - great light! This is a very cool light that works well in many different settings. Although it has a contemporary feel, it is simple and funky and can add interest to any room. It is also a piece that works well with other lighting in nearby rooms because it doesn't compete. Lovely light!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a modern, but very classic, pendant that would work across a range of design styles This Artemide "Logico" is a classic! I was looking for a pendant to hang over the desk area in our newly remodeled kitchen and wanted something different from the typical pendants that you seem to see everywhere. I went for a more modern look (our house is Victorian) and I absolutley LOVE it! It's like a little piece of jewelry suspended from the ceiling and it looks great from all angles. It's modern but with a very organic feel so it could go well in a range of design settings. It doesn't give off a ton of light...is used more for mood/effect lighting. YLighting was top notch in terms of ordering and shipping. I highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful light. These lights arrived quicker than I expected and were packaged securely. They were as beautiful as I anticapated, however, the size was a little off from what the web site stated. When I contacted ylighting they were very helpful, there was a mistake on the web site and they sent me shipping labels to return the lights at their expense. The customer service was great and easier that driving to and from a store. I have ordered the lights in a different size and am awaiting their arrival.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple enough to go with three I purchased two of these to hang over a long counter. Initially I ordered only two because I was afraid 3 would be "too busy" for the space. After seeing them in place, I am ordering a third. The lines and curves of this design make a beautiful addition and do not compete at all with counter fixtures beneath them. I am VERY pleased with this choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from STUNNING! Beautiful end result. This fixture took 3 of us to hang it. It's very heavy and requires at least 2 people to hang. When you shorten the steel cables there seems to be no way to reverse this process. The little keep devices only seem to work in 1 direction. Also, the suspension wires came crisscrossed from the factory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Logico Recently, I bought two Logico micro pendants and they're beautiful. Very light , modern and graceful compliment my kitchen perfectly. My only regret is that I need a little more light in the kitchen and even though they give plenty of light, it's still a little dim in there. I do recommend the Logico very highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding. I purchased the logico suspension single product. Very pleased. Superior look and packaging was extremely secure. No bumps or bruises. Y lighting was very easy to work with as well. I would recommend them to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wickedly beautiful Lighting is everything, so they say, and this pendant has it all! Graceful use of materials, great diffusion and well made. What more do you need?? Your friends will drop dead from jealosy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product. Better than expected. I purchased the logico series in two sizes, accomodating the different needs of the room. After install, I could'nt believe how well it turned out. I would recommend these lights highly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A bit of panache without overdoing it Avoiding the strictly pragmatic, we chose this pendant for our entry vestibule and couldn't be happier. The escutcheon plate stands out and makes a fine light stand out.
