Mercury Ceiling LightPrice: $3,885.00
Design by Ross Lovegrove, 2008.
"A ceiling fixture that places a floating assembly of large pebbles below a simple modern aluminum disc. These in turn reflect each other, bouncing light between their taught bio-morphic surfaces and reflecting the environment around them. During the day, the piece acts as a sculptural object reflecting the dynamics of natural light and movement of people around them." - Ross Lovegrove
The Mercury Ceiling Light provides indirect halogen lighting. Made of die-cast aluminum and molded thermoplastic, the reflective units (pebbles) have a polished chrome finish. The disc, in die-cast aluminum, has a pale grey finish with clear electrical cords and stainless steel cable. Mounts to standard electrical junction box.
Material(s): Die-cast aluminum, thermoplastic
Dimensions: 43.3" W X 21.7" H
Bulbs: 2 X 200W 120V R7/T3 linear halogen lamps (included)
