What is the minimum distance the Pirce Suspension pendant light can be mounted from the ceiling?  I understand the max, but what's the closet this can get to the ceiling?

Asked by: Mike1009
Hi there. Typically the manufacturer recommends leaving at least a foot of cording between the canopy and the pendant portion. Removing more than this would overly strip the wire, resulting in electrical complications. If you have low ceilings and do not want a fixture to seem too imposing in the environment, consider a flush mount fixture instead that can remain high up and out of the way of your conversation space. The height dimensions listed are contradictory. Is it 84 inches or 31 inches or adjustable.

Asked by: Sarah94619
Hi there, and thanks for your interest in this design. The dimensions of the pendant portion when looking at it from above is 38.5" x 34.75" (because it is not a perfect circle) and it is 11" high. The total drop of the entire fixture altogether is 84". Please let us know if we can offer any additional clarification beyond this - we are happy to help! Parin YLighting Customer Service

Can the halogen bulb be replaced by an LED bulb?  this is less expensive than upgrading to the LED version of the fixture, but is is possible?

Asked by: PugetSoundGal
Hello there. No, this fixture is wired for the halogen bulb, and not for an LED lamping source. That is why they make two separate versions and not one universal socket/base. Sorry about that! To discuss this fixture in greater depth, or to follow up with anything else, feel free to give us a call anytime at 866.842.6209 and we are more than happy to go over some options with you. What would you say is the minimum realistic ceiling height recommended for use of this fixture, for say a living room.

Asked by: mrcpesso
Hi "mrcpesso". The Pirce Suspension has a drop that can range from 2 feet to 7 feet based on the minimum and maximum cord length allowed for this fixture. A minimum of 10 foot high ceilings would be recommended for this fixture. You may find that 8 feet high will work if you are featuring it above a dining or coffee table so it is not an obstruction to foot traffic in the space. This is an elegant modern piece that can have a lot of great impact in a space. As noted in response to a previous question for this fixture; you do not want a fixture to seem too imposing in the environment. If you find your ceiling height is too low for this fixture, you may want to consider the Pirce Ceiling Light with less than a 2 foot drop instead. I have a sloped ceiling.  What type of adaptor do I need?

Asked by: PamL
Hi there! This can be hung on a sloped ceiling without an adapter. It hangs from cables which will allow it to hang straight (perpendicular to the floor) from any ceiling angle. Good question. Please let us know if we can offer any additional clarification beyond this - we are happy to help! Stephanie, YLighting Customer Service

How do you change the light bulb

Asked by: patpeter
Hi there! This uses a 300W 120V R7s(base) T3(shape) 118mm linear halogen lamp (included). We do not sell bulbs alone for any of our fixtures, so typically we refer our clients to bulb-only retailers like 1000bulbs.com, bulbs.com, or bulbman.com to order replacement bulbs. We ourselves refer to these sites all the time to compare bulb options. The directions to change the bulb are included in the installation instructions that are provided with the fixture. Should you require some additional clarification beyond this and would like to speak to a Product Specialist directly, feel free to give us a call anytime at 866.842.6209 and we can assist you. How does the led differ from the halogen bulbs with respect to brightness and hue?

Asked by: Rory
Hi there! The main difference between the two is the LED in integrated into the fixture and lasts longer. LEDs often provide softer light to that of a halogen, but they should provide the same amount of light. It really comes down to which type of lighting do you prefer? If you have any further questions, please feel free to give us a call anytime at 866.842.6209 to speak to a Product Specialist directly. We're here to help! Stephanie, YLighting Team
