The first exhibition ever to examine Artek in the United States, Artek and the Aaltos: Creating a Modern World is currently on display at the Bard Graduate Center Gallery in New York. Curated by Director Nina Stritzler-Levine, and Juhani Pallasmaa, a prolific writer on modern and contemporary art and architecture, the exhibit takes a close look at the Finnish Design company with special emphasis on its married co-founders Alvar Aalto (1898–1976) and Aino Marsio-Aalto (1894–1949).
