Evaluated by Danish Physiologist Louise Haervig as "...so well thought out that if you had to buy one piece of furniture for your child, you would have to buy this!" The Elephant works as a back rest when a small child sits in the curve between the legs. It has a rocking function to challenge and stimulate a child while sitting. Later on, the child can stand on top of the Elephant's feet, challenging standing balance. And, as a purely functional piece, it is a great chair/stool to sit on — both for children and their parents.

When the designer Bolette Blædel was on maternity leave with her first son, she soon discovered the scarcity of children's furniture that encourages play, creativity and physical exercise, while at the same time satisfying her preference for good, Danish design. With her sister, the fashion designer Louise Blædel, she therefore conceived the idea of creating a series of multifunctional furniture that children want to play with and adults want to bring into their sitting room.
Today, the result is a group of animals, each with its own shape and numerous functions, e.g. an elephant, which one moment can be used for riding and the next be turned into a boat, a table or a rocking footstool. bObles' furniture is not only striking design objects in bright colours and geometric shapes - it also gives children a unique opportunity to develop their motor function and understanding of their own body, while playing and using their imagination.
The Tumbling Animals product line is based on simple geometric forms - cut in the shape of animals. Meet the Elephant Tumbling Animal: suitable for children's furniture, but designed for creative play. Children can tumble, roll, balance, seesaw, rock, jump and gain some bodily experience, which can serve as the foundation for further development.

A huge hit.
The toddlers, and occasional older child visitors, in our church playroom love these little shapes. So bright, fun, pleasing, multi-purpose. Good for sitting on, rocking on, using as bridge to drive small cars over, etc. They are perhaps the single most-used item in our newly renovated space.

I bought this item for my 3yr. old for xmas and she loved it.
She sits and rolls and stands on it all day. Also loves to watch
tv while sitting on it. My 7yr. old has also taken interest in it so now i have to buy her one also.
Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
