Shin Azumi was born in Kobe, Japan in 1965. After finishing his MA in Industrial Design at the Royal College of Art in 1994, he started working as a design unit 'AZUMI'. In 2005, he established his own office 'a studio' in London. The clients of 'a studio' include lapalma, Magis, Desalto, Muji, Authentics, Guzzini and many other international brands.
Shin Azumi's work has received numerous design awards in Europe and in Japan and his works have been acquired for the permanent collection of several prominent museums. He is a visiting professor of Osaka University of Arts and a lecturer of Vitra Design Museum Workshop.

Case was established in 2006 and is the creation of British furniture pioneers' Paul Newman and Sheridan Coakley. Paul Newman has been working in the furniture design industry for over twenty years. He started as a product designer, launching his first designs at the Salone de Mobile in 1988. Paul Newman is a well-respected expert in design, sourcing and advanced manufacturing techniques. Newmanís understanding of the international market and of manufacturing techniques worldwide gave Case a strong foundation from which to launch.
