Cherner Stool
Overview
Design by Norman Cherner, 1958.
Made in the U.S.A. by The Cherner Chair Company.
The molded plywood stools by Norman Cherner are still regarded as one of the most dramatic designs utilizing the technology of molding plywood. The seat and back are made of laminated plywood of graduated thickness, from 15 plys to 5 plys at the perimeter; a single shell connected by a slim, yet sturdy waist. Slender laminated legs and a chrome footrest complete the elegant design. Reissued in exacting detail from the original drawings and molds. Strong and lightweight, it is available in counter or bar height and all standard Cherner finishes. Assembly required.
The Cherner Chair Company is committed to minimizing the environmental impact of the manufacturing process in a number of ways, including using finishes that don't pollute the air. A completely water-based veneer finishing system is used on all Cherner products yielding greater color consistency and fewer VOCs. The Cherner Stool, as well as all Cherner products, is manufactured with attention to detail and hand assembled from woods collected from sustainably managed forests and with 100% recyclable steel with 25% recycled content.

Beautiful organic design
By: Marcy E., Homeowner (Massachusetts)
I love my Cherner stools. After a thorough kitchen renovation, I was on the hunt for the perfect stools as I know that it's all in the details. Not only does the Cherner design look stunning and classic, it is also comfortable and well constructed. The subtle flow of the curves complements other aspects of the room. These stools tied the entire project together. Couldn't be more delighted.

Couldn't be more happy with the Cherner bar stools. They are clean, classic, and comfortable and I look forward to having them around for a long time to come.
