Overview

Design by David Trubridge Design.

The Basket of Knowledge series was inspired by a Maori creation myth in which the gods gave the humans three baskets that contained the knowledge they needed to live on Earth. The Kete Tuaatea Pendant represents the basket of the same name which holds the knowledge of the spiritual world. Featuring a hand-sanded polycarbonate "basket" shroud, this light and etherial shade houses an energy efficient and long lasting LED spot light. Kete Tuaatea is a large scale statement piece that stands well alone and balances well with its natural world (Kete Aronui) and rational world (Kete Tuauri) Basket of Knowledge counterparts.

The Basket of Knowledge pendants were launched at Milan Design Week in 2009.

Kete Tuaatea ships assembled and includes the suspension wire.
