Coral Pendant, White
Overview
Made in New Zealand, by David Trubridge Design.
Coral Pendants are a blend of skillful craftsmanship and high-tech enginuity. White Coral's bamboo plywood shade is painted with white acrylic, providing a clean and refined finishing touch to modern living spaces. Coral's radiance is reflected both inward and outward, setting its inside surface algow and projecting a dynamic silhouette that is far reaching throughout a room. Its bamboo shade components are designed to maximize size and effect while using the minimal amount of materials. This pendant ships flat packed with excellent instructions for self-assembly. Coral's material-minimizing design is carried through to its kitset packaging which means no excessively bulky boxes in shipping, plus it helps minimize the impact on the environment.
Select from three sizes. Each size ships with 6 feet of wire and a canopy (not UL Listed). For projects requiring UL Listed fixtures, a UL listed cordset and canopy set is available, sold separately.
This film made by Davide Calafa for David Trubridge will assist you in assembling your Coral or Floral lightshade. We have designed making a Coral to be a fun and easy job, but a little help goes a long way. We and the earth appreciate you taking the time to assemble this kitset, because flat pack shipping minimizes the effect on the environment.
Notes:
For projects requiring UL Listed fixtures, a UL listed cordset and canopy set is available - sold separately.

Designer: David Trubridge
David Trubridge is a true visionary. His self named brand, David Trubridge Designs, features sculptural, and often wood based, lighting solutions that are a mix of old world skills and craftsmanship with some high-tech enginuity and sustainable practices. David's lamps combine repeat patterned CNC cut plywood with a hint of Escher to produce a geometrically pleasing form, both pure in design and practical in purpose. Early training in Naval Architecture prepared David well for computer 3D designing, enabling the company to integrate CNC technology and moving fluidly between design and production.
In addition to lighting design, David Trubridge is an achieved, self-taught designer of furniture. In 1972 he first graduated from Newcastle University in Northern England in 1972 with a degree in Naval Architecture (Boat Design), and has received many awards over the year for his contributions to design, including the Good Design Awards (NZ), the Best Awards (NZ), Home NZ Design Awards, the Silver Leaf Awards (Japan), Designboom / Sotheby's Awards (London), the UN / Natural World Warming awards and New Zealand's greatest prize for innovative design, the John Britten Award.
