Overview
Design by Lena Bergström.
By Design House Stockholm.
The Björk rugs and their patterned structure offer a modern and enriched textile quality, along with a stylish and protective leather edging. Inspired by the rough black and white graphical structure of the birch tree's trunk (Björk is the Swedish word for birch), the color tones of Björk create a marbled effect. Available in four sizes and your choice of Light Grey or Dark Grey.

the björk rug is clean-lined & elegant ... and warm!
By: Julie V., Homeowner (Port Townsend WA)
I went around and around deciding on this rug - I needed a large area rug, wool, for insulation/warmth, that wasn't thousands of dollars (yeah, I like collectible midcentury Swedish rugs - so not in my budget!), or hideous and so poor quality it should be an indoor-outdoor carpet. I was finding rugs in the $500-$900 range that were fine, but uninspired. Boring solids with no texture. All Persian all the time (lovely for some, but not my scheme - and too busy; my rug is for a smallish room with a couple thousand volumes of book clutter, occupational hazard). I was looking for sleek but inviting. I got the dark gray large bjork rug, was worried it might be too dark, too patterned, but it's perfect - perfect with the books and light-color wood shelving, perfect with my Danish arm chairs, even perfect with my thin-striped (yes, striped) blue/tan/cream couch (someone's early 80s idea for tying in their otherwise lovely tight-back walnut-armed sofa with their rec room? recovering is on the list, not in the budget, and I wanted a rug that could live with it as is and in its future dress). Fitting into this room was a tall order, and the bjrk rug is perfectly at home, gorgeous to look at, with textured visual interest, and luxurious underfoot (and slim enough for under the yoga mat; I did add a thin rug pad). Reason for 4 stars not 5: I'm not totally in love with the leather strips on the rug ends, but they're growing on me, and they do add a clean finishing touch. Long story short: An elegant, quality, modern, and affordable investment. (And YLiving was no fuss and fast.) Highly recommended.
Love the simplicity of this rug.

Bought the light colored version of this rug for a high trafiic entry way. It works perfectly, stands up to the traffic while looking great.
