Design by Lena Bergström, 2011.
By Design House Stockholm.
Getting her inspiration from the birch tree and its rough black and white trunk when creating the beautiful Björk Stools, Lena Bergström designed a stool that can be grouped together for an informal seating area, or placed around the home where extra seating is needed. The color tones of the Björk Stool create a marbled effect through a warp of cotton intertwined with a weft in wool, known not only for its softness, but also for its built-in resistance to soiling thanks to its natural oils.

Borrowing colors and textures from nature, Lena Bergström created the Björk Stools to harmonize with its surroundings. Soft to the touch and resistant to soiling, the Björk Stools are timeless pieces that will last generations. Available in two heights and two colors.

i purchased this on a whim and from one of yliving's "open box" sales. very pleased with the product and the manner it was delivered as i was a bit skeptical about ordering an opened item. the item was in new conditions and its already become one of the more used pieces in our house - primarily as a footrest by our rocking chair and couch, but on occasion as a side table and makeshift seat when we have a lot of guests.
Excellent Quality

The Bjork Stool is simple but makes a statement. It was designed very well and functions nicely as a bedside table. I'm very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this product.
