With a distinctive matte polished base and sturdy stem, the Globe Wine Glass is suitable for everyday use as well as for special occasions. Ulla Christiansson remembers a time when all fine glassware looked and felt the same. She was determined to create a collection of pure and simple beauty that would stand alone. She stopped the polishing process half-way through, leaving the circular base matte. This circular shape mirrors the round shape of the glass. Sold in sets of 2.

Born in Stockholm, 1938. Ulla Christiansson studied furniture design and interior design at the University College of Arts, Crafts & Design in Stockholm and is a member of SIR (the Swedish Interior Architects' Association). In addition to being a renowned and well-represented designer in Sweden, Ulla Christiansson's architectural and interior design work is in great demand internationally among banks, embassies and hotels (her portfolio includes the Swedish Embassy in Beijing.) Ulla's philosophy is to create furniture for people who like to live with things for a long time.
