Inspired by a love of cooking, designer Åsa McCormac needed a trivet large enough to hold a casserole and still small enough to fit in a kitchen drawer. The Hot Pot Stand features seven pieces of bamboo that flip to expand and accommodate pots and pans of varying sizes.

Åsa McCormac was educated at the Anselm School of Furniture in Scotland from 1992 to 1994. She had her own studio in the United States from 1994 to 1995 and then in Stockholm until 1998.
