A rocking chair for our own time — Rock Chair continues the traditional rocking chair's comforting function in a modern design. With a knock-down design that arrives in a flat pack, the five pieces are easy to fit together. When the chair has been assembled, the construction is its expressive feature.

As beautiful as it is cleverly functional, there is a toy-like charm to the Rock Chair's simplicity. Made of MDF and plywood with a Black lacquer finish.

Minimal, clean, and playful

Purchased this chair for a nursery space and am very pleased with the function, ease of motion, and the design. It is flat packed, easy to put together, and small enough not to take too much valuable real estate in NYC apartments. The finish could be a bit nicer but for the money it is a good investment.

Designer: Fredrik Färg

Fredrik Färg was born in 1981 in Lysekil, Sweden and graduated from the HDK design college in Gothenburg, where he obtained his Master's degree in 2008. He rapidly gained a reputation for his 'slow fashion' chair Coat. He has since established himself as a designer and exhibition curator in the fields of art, fashion and design. His new passion for bringing unusual materials to life in the form of comfort and stability produced the Rock Chair. Fredrick brought the dying form of rocking chairs back with a modern composition. His striking designs have garnered him worldwide attention for a practice that is both whimsical and intelligent. He has received several awards and has exhibited internationally. Fredrik Färg is based in Stockholm.
