The story of Federico de Majo has its beginnings in the family business on the island of Murano, Italy. It was there, in the mid-1970s, that Federico de Majo spent his first years exploring artistic glass work. Thereafter, de Majo developed a steadfast passion for the importance and enjoyment of good wine, inspiring him to establish a company dedicated to the design and production of tasting glasses.

Handled with care, de Majo's glasses of the Zafferano collection are mouth blown and hand crafted by skilled workers using age-old techniques. No two pieces are exactly alike in using this craft-based method, instilling a one of a kind value in each piece which is marked with the Zafferano "Z" that signifies its handmade quality.
