Jason Miller

Jason Miller was born in New York in 1971. He received a BA from Indiana University in 1993 and an MFA from New York Academy of Art in 1995. Between 1995 and 2001, Jason worked as a studio assistant for Jeff Koons, an art director for Ogilvy and Mather, and a designer for Karim Rashid. In 2001, he formed his own design studio. Jason has been called a jack-of-all-trades. He designs everything from interiors to furniture to tchotchky, and he works in a multitude of mediums. Jason draws upon everyday aspects of American culture to create contemporary design objects that could just as easily be conceptual art. He has had solo exhibitions in Tokyo, Milan, New York, Los Angeles, Houston and Denver. He has been featured in numerous publications from Wallpaper to The Wall Street Journal. In 2006, Jason received the Bombay Sapphire Rising Star Award. He has been named "Best Breakthrough Designer" by Wallpaper. Forbes.com has included him in their list of 2007 Tastemakers. Jason has developed products for companies including Brookstone, Benza, Idee, Pure Design, and Areaware.
