Far from the small village life she lived in France, Matali Crassets brilliance as an industrial designer shines in her eccentrically pragmatic approach and out-of-the-box thinking to design. The things she creates arouse fascination and easily becomes the theme of global trade discussions.
By breaking the rules, experimenting and questioning the codes that govern life, her creations are every inch fresh, vibrant, and exceptional but never impractical. She has collaborated on a diverse range of projects, including interior architecture, handicraft design, furniture engineering, and graphic artworks, to name a few. The Aquamass Hi-Bath bathtub she designed for Hi Hôtel in Nice garnered her the Design + prize and the Grand Prix de la salle de bains dHôtel award at the Idéo Bain 2010 Trade Fair.
