Nice functional sculpture but too expensive for the quality.

We waited months for this item to arrive. I don't know if it was due to production run schedule or shipping schedule or what. Seems strange in this day and age. The photo shows white, the description says "Ivory". It's much more off-white than the photo. This was a disappointment since our Mid-Century modern design scheme has an absolute white. It's very tough plastic. Which is good because it was packed like something from Target. It came all the way from Italy wrapped in a poly bag inside a not-too-sturdy cardboard box. Sure the item is tough. But for this price I'd like to see some Styrofoam in the corners if not a wooden crate. It has a marbled texture on the outer surface, a smooth texture on the orange interior. The mold seams are a little too noticeable for this price, particularly on the back surface. The curved surfaces have a nice feel. The chair's weight is just right. It's more at home on a hard surface floor rather than a carpet or rug. It's impossible to lean too far back (good). If you fold up your legs and rock forward you can feel like you're standing on your nose. If you flip it upside down, it not only looks great, you can lean back on it and practice yoga.
