The material of the Flexlamp may look rigid from a distance, but is in fact flexible enough to be twisted and squeezed. The lamp socket is combined with the shade to look like one piece, but it can easily be removed to fit an energy saving bulb.

Installation Note: Supplied with non-standard size ceiling canopy.

Sam Hecht

Sam Hecht, born 1969 in London, graduated Royal College of Art, 1993. He joined the Studio Group, followed by the next six years working in the USA and Japan. Became Head of Design at IDEO Europe in 2000. Formed Industrial Facility in 2002, with Kim Colin in London. Completed his first building - a pavilion for Thames Water in London, receiving the Emerging architecture award. In 2003, Sam held his first solo exhibition of works, at Maison & Objet in Paris. Collaborated previously with Prada, Seiko, and Matsushita. Currently collaborating with Whirlpool, Magis SpA, and Muji Japan. His work forms part of the permanent collection of MoMA, New York.
