The upholstered René Lounger achieves what only the likes of molded polymer chairs have achieved before it - a chiseled silhouette defined by angles rather than curves or corners. The generously sized seat pan and seat back feature angled borders that define this crisp silhouette while curving to the sitter, rather than away from them. The chair is upholstered to its base, with a subtle angled reveal where chair meets floor.
René features all hardwood construction with high density foam and can be upholstered in a selection of 100% wool fabrics or leather. It is finished with seam welting on all the edge/angle borders. And glider feet are installed at the chair base to protect carpets and floors.
Select from a range of 40 colors in the classic Divina Melange wool fabric, Hallingdal wool fabric or Vincenza leather. Shown in Hallingdal/HD100.

Eric Kuczynski was trained as an industrial designer at the University of Michigan with additional training in furniture and interior design at the Lorenzo Di Medici University in Florence, Italy. The latter is where Eric developed a strong passion for architecture, fine art, furniture, and interior design. Through his world travels and studies he has developed a simplistic and sophisticated approach to design, resulting in a clean, exciting modern style. Eric has been influenced by the styles of the great architects and designers of the 1920's and 30's. He believes strongly in the philosophies of functionalism and minimalism while combining them with the Post-War and Retro styles of the 50's, 60's, and 70's. His passion for art and creating art allows him to view each one of his individual furniture projects as an opportunity to create something unique. Eric is co-owner of EK Living, with brother Cory.
