The 20-06™Barstool is a slightly anonymous design by one of the world's greatest architects. A fusion of modernist form with established craft. The DNA of Emeco's first chair runs through 20-06™ but this new design belongs to the new century. Made of recycled brushed aluminum. Also available as a counter stool.
Handmade from 80% recycled aluminum. Designed to last for 150 years. The 20-06™ Barstool is tempered for ultimate strength in a proprietary 77-step process. Emeco is the only company in the world to do this.
20-06™ is part of the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Gallery, NYC.

Like my headline suggests, this stool is just a nice addition to any room. It is so discreet and yet so noticeable. It's very light so you can actually carry it from one room to another. Very elegant piece. Will certainly get more Emeco products.

Emeco has an interesting history beginning in 1944 with the 1006 Navy chair, the granddaddy of Emeco that was designed to withstand the harsh environment on a Navy ship. (Legend has it, the seat of the Emeco 1006 Navy Chair was modeled after the seat of actress Betty Grable.) Since then Emeco has had some new editions, designed by some good friends: Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry and Ettore Sottsass to name a few.
