A rocking chair like none other! Strong vertical and horizontal lines combine to create the unique body which contrasts wonderfully with a softly curved rocking base at the bottom. Select with or without arms in Hand Brushed or Hand Polished finish.
You cannot mistake the Heritage collection for the original Emeco chair - Philippe Starck has transmitted his personality to the original classic and what results is modern, useful, and fun. There are stacking chairs and stacking barstools with or without the sharply curved side arms.
Handmade from 80% recycled aluminum. Designed to last for 150 years. Heritage Rocking Chairs are tempered for ultimate strength in a proprietary three-step process. Emeco is the only company in the world to do this.
Notes:
Emeco furniture is hand welded and hand brushed for a warm, uniform finish. Weld lines are natural and always visible, and can range from very light to slightly darker than the adjoining aluminum surface. All Emeco furniture will exhibit slight variations of handcraft.

Emeco has an interesting history beginning in 1944 with the 1006 Navy chair, the granddaddy of Emeco that was designed to withstand the harsh environment on a Navy ship. (Legend has it, the seat of the Emeco 1006 Navy Chair was modeled after the seat of actress Betty Grable.) Since then Emeco has had some new editions, designed by some good friends: Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry and Ettore Sottsass to name a few.
