Extactly What I Was Looking For
By: R..Z., Designer (CA)
I would give 5 stars to the style and Yliving staff. but 3 stars to the quality. As soon as I saw it on the web and I had to get it. Because it's a Starck design. I dared to order without sitting in it. It's very comfortable. The simple modern design is exactly what I want. But I'm not impressed with Emeco's quality control. 2 chairs came with some defects and had to exchange. Yliving staff is very responsive and helpful to make the process easier.

Manufacturer: Emeco
Emeco has an interesting history beginning in 1944 with the 1006 Navy chair, the granddaddy of Emeco that was designed to withstand the harsh environment on a Navy ship. (Legend has it, the seat of the Emeco 1006 Navy Chair was modeled after the seat of actress Betty Grable.) Since then Emeco has had some new editions, designed by some good friends: Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry and Ettore Sottsass to name a few.
Emeco is a leader when it comes to chair fabrication. Committed to sustainability and protecting the environment, Emeco uses post consumer and post industrial waste to create chairs with ultimate strength, intended to last decades. Chairs admired today and indefinitely. Chairs that span generations and cultures.
