Lancaster Rectangular Dining TablePrice: $2,215.00
Design by Michael Young.
Made in Hanover, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. by Emeco.
The Lancaster Tables carry over the series' perfectly paired ash wood and aluminum styling to tables that coordinate particularly well with the Lancaster Stacking Chairs or Emeco Aluminum Chairs, and round out the offering for this collaboration with British designer Michael Young. As with the Chairs, solid ash is provided by an Amish wood factory in Lancaster County - near Emeco's Pennsylvania facilities - giving the collection its name. This marriage of materials holds true to Emeco and Young's mutual desire to build with products that will last a lifetime.
The Rectangular Dining Tables are offered in two sizes. Select from Natural ash wood or Dark stain ash wood with connector accents in Dark Gray powder coated aluminum or Polished Aluminum finishes.
Covered by Emeco's 7-year limited warranty.

Designer: Michael Young
In a career that spans little more than 15 years, British-born and Hong Kong based designer Michael Young established himself from the very beginning as one of the world's leading figures in his trade. Apart from his endlessly copied designs and its unparalleled power to generate a vibrant but relaxed atmosphere, the uniqueness of his work also resides in his constant questioning of typologies and habits, combined with the pioneering passion for technology that after some time also brought him to Asia, continuously crossing borders and pushing innovation to its very limits in a fresh approach that effortlessly blends east and west, or past and future, while marrying the industry to what is often seen as its very opposite: sheer poetry. "It is design as industrial art that interests me, not in a limited edition, but in mass-production".View other products by Michael Young
Emeco. Timeless, handmade chairs, made in the U.S.A. from recycled materials.
Emeco has an interesting history beginning in 1944 with the 1006 Navy chair, the granddaddy of Emeco that was designed to withstand the harsh environment on a Navy ship, including water, salt air, and sailors. (Legend has it, the seat of the Emeco 1006 Navy Chair was modeled after the seat of actress Betty Grable.) Since then Emeco has had some new editions, designed by some good friends: Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry, and Ettore Sottsass to name a few.
The creative process behind the development of Emeco products is one that is loose and organic, intuitive, and explorative. The philosophy is rooted in the fact that the search for good design is as much part of the development process as is the forming, welding, and hand finishing of its products. Emeco's designers and manufacturers are equally valued and respected, and their combined dedication, intuition, and skill have uniformly contributed to the company's continuing growth. All Emeco chairs are LEED™ compliant, made of 80% recycled aluminum or 65% rPET. The aluminum chairs have an estimated lifespan of 150 years and a lifetime guarantee.
Emeco is a leader when it comes to chair fabrication. Committed to sustainability and protecting the environment, Emeco uses post consumer and post industrial waste to create chairs with ultimate strength, intended to last for decades. Chairs admired today and indefinitely. Chairs that span generations and cultures.View other products from Emeco
