The Sezz collection by Christophe Pillet, first launched in Paris at La Galerie Végétale on January 19, 2012, is continually earning high praise for its sleek, chic, modern design. More than a pleasant sight for sore eyes, much of the quality of the Sezz Swivel Chair is invisible to the naked eye. The fine craftsmanship of the recycled aluminum frame boasts indestructibility and the expert welding is filed down to appear nonexistent for a smooth finish; invisible touches that are nonetheless very real and encompassing of this instantly iconic, luxury chair.
Raise or lower Sezz Swivel Chair's seat height by 2.5 inches to sit comfortably at any desk or table, and select from feet glides or rolling castors to keep Sezz Swivel Chair stationary or make as mobile as you are. Sezz Swivel Chair is available in a hand brushed aluminum finish.

Designer: Christophe Pillet
Christophe Pillet, born in 1959, has been living and working in Paris since 1988. A graduate of Nice's Arts Dratifs School in 1985 and Milan's Domus Academy in 1986, he collaborated with Martine Bedin for two years. He then worked with Phillipe Starck from 1988 until 1993, before choosing to develop independent projects. Pillet engages in many fields - from product and furniture design to interior design, architecture, scenography and artistic direction. He has designed furniture and décor for Cappellini, Daum, HC Decaux, Driade, Ecart International, Eemco, IOr, Lacoste, Moroso, Renault, Srralunga, Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Veuve Clicquot, Ponsardin, Whirlpool and FontanaArte.

Emeco has an interesting history beginning in 1944 with the 1006 Navy chair, the granddaddy of Emeco that was designed to withstand the harsh environment on a Navy ship. (Legend has it, the seat of the Emeco 1006 Navy Chair was modeled after the seat of actress Betty Grable.) Since then Emeco has had some new editions, designed by some good friends: Philippe Starck, Frank Gehry and Ettore Sottsass to name a few.
