Nice lamp with in-line dimmer. The base and shade are not like a typical light which makes for a unique silhouette when lit.
gorgeous and functional

Love the adjustability of the light and the design. I have it in my son's room so hopefully it's durable as well as beautiful.

The Miss K Table lamps are artwork. There timeless design works with almost any furniture, modern, traditional, art deco. I purchased the clear/silver models but I am sure after receiving them the black and red most also be stunning. The dimmers allow just the right amount of light for what ever mood your in. I could not be happier with my purchase.

What can I say - its a flos Miss K, a fabulous design, extremely well made and really adds to any room. NY apartments have no overhead lights it seems, so floor and table lamps really draw attention to themselves. With this you get great looks, a modern but timeless feel. and - nice light. I was happy with the price, the packaging (very protective) and the delivery time - well done Yliving.
Looks beautiful but a little pricey.

Looks great, and I really like it so I bought two. It gives sufficient light but not a great reading light as it doesn't shine down at you but upwards. Cool Look. The dimmer is kinda low down the cord. Assembly was fine and packaging was fine too.
Nice Modern look

It's a nice lamp, but it is much smaller than appears on the website.

By: Mark D., Homeowner (Chicago, IL, USA)
I can't say enough great things about this lamp - it looks great, provides as much or as little light as I need with its integrated dimmer, and fits perfectly with my existing decor. YLiving was also great about answering my questions about the lamp, not to mention the free and speedy delivery!
Designer: Philippe Starck
Born in Paris in 1949, he is one of the most original and creative designers of our time. He has obtained many important acknowledgements such as the Grand Prix National de la Création industrielle and the Honor Award of the American Institute of Architects, he considers himself as "a Japanese architect, an American art director, a German industrial designer, a French artistic director, an Italian furniture designer".
Philippe Starck on his Broom Chair design:
FLOS was founded in 1962 are the Italian Lighting Specialists. The very same year FLOS began producing a number of lamps that were to become classics in Italian industrial design. These first lamps were Arco, Relemme, Toio and Taccia — all designed by Achille and Piergiacomo Castiglioni. As a tangible proof of FLOS Lighting's timeless design and technical excellence, these lamps continue to be produced today.
It all started with cocoon . . .
In 1959 Arturo Eisenkeil from Merano, an importer of cocoon — a spray-on plastic coating produced in the United States - was tracking down possible applications for this new material. He joined forces with Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina and set up a company to produce lighting fixtures. This marked the beginning of the long-standing association in the area of design with the Castiglioni brothers and Tobia Scarpa. The first cocoon lamps ever created were the offspring of this collaboration: Viscontea, Taraxacum and Gatto by the Castiglioni brothers and Fantasma by Scarpa.
FLOS moved from Merano to the province of Brescia in 1964: At first to Nave and then to the current premises in Bovezzo. Sergio Gandini became chairman of FLOS in 1965. In 1974, the company became the owner of Arteluce — one of the key Italian companies in the industrial design sector. Gino Sarfatti, an industrialist and designer, is the founder of Arteluce. Several models designed by Sarfatti himself have been incorporated into the product range.
From the very outset, FLOS has been characterized by its high-quality approach to lamp design and production. Many of the numerous lamps designed for the company, first by Achille and Piergiacomo, are undoubtedly some of FLOS Lighting's best-known and most successful products of industrial design. They have won awards and historical critical accolades, and are included in all the most important collections and design museums around the world.View other products from Flos
