The cornerstone of Foscarini is research into forms and materials. Established in 1981 in Venice, Foscarini started out by exploring the opportunities offered by Murano glass. Over the years, the range of materials used has expanded to include glass, polyethylene, wood and aluminum, as well as patented materials such as an exclusive textured glass and Kevlar, or carbon fiber composite.

The design studio Atelier O? was founded in 1991 in La Neuveville in Switzerland by Aurel Aebi, Louis Armand and Patrick Reymond. The name of their studio is inspired by the the Russian word for trio, Tr(oi)ka and their work ranges from design and architecture to set design. Their work has been recognized by various awards such as the IF Design Award (2003), the Living at Home Award (2007) and the Product of the Year Award (Architectural Record, USA, 2008).View other products by Atelier Oi
