Geneva Sound XL High-Powered All-in-One HiFi - DiscontinuedNow: $1,609.99
A system that sounds like it costs ten times more, and looks like nothing else in audio history. Geneva Sound Xtra Large can fill a dance hall with music, thanks to six 100-watt amplifiers powering six speakers (two 8" subs!), for a total of 600-watts of Class D amplifiers - a new generation of extremely efficient, low-power-consumption amplifiers. Available in three gloss colors: White, Red and Black, each with color-coordinated remote control. Features brushed aluminum feet with rubberized footpads. An optional pedestal stand (as shown) is available and sold separately.
From Switzerland, Geneva Sound is "furniture music" - a renewed fusion of home entertainment and home décor that brings technology and design full circle. Beyond its striking simplicity, Geneva's clean lines embody an advanced acoustical array that's won the highest marks from leading audio reviewers. Never before have such a variety of functions been integrated into one compact cabinet - a complete, powerful HiFi system with a slot-loading CD player, an iPod-iPhone dock for 30-pin (pre Lightning) devices*, a radio tuner with digital presets, and a line-in jack. Leading reviewers say it's the easiest multi-function stereo ever.
Included accessories: remote control, iPod Dock Adapters: set of 7 pieces (for different iPod models), adapter cable for MP3-player: 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) plugs on both ends, 9-ft. RCA jacks line-in cable, AC power cable, external FM wire antenna.
*iPhone 4S and earlier, iPod touch 4th generation and earlier, iPod nano 6th generation and earlier, and iPod classic.
On the top of the Geneva Sound Xtra Large is a slot-loading CD player. Behind the CD slot is the 30-pin iPod/iPhone connector. Embedded in the Geneva Sound cabinet is a digital radio tuner. No tabletop radio has ever sounded this big before. Setting your favorite stations as a preset in the remote control is a synch. And GenevaSound Large has auxiliary line-in connections - 3.5 mm plus RCA. These can bring in sound from almost any audio device.

This product, with the XL stand, is an immediate ice breaker among conversations with your guests. The unit can be on or off, people take notice. The finish on the unit is furniture quality and it is packed nicely to protect it. The sound is phenomenal when listening to anything from classical to rock. This unit shines the most when it plays a rather difficult CD or MP3, that focuses on mid to high ranges. The album "Officium", by Jan Garbarek, uses saxophones that can really push the clarity of this system. Most other systems cant handle it, or you end up blowing your speakers. This is also a great compromise to those who want small speakers over big ones. With the furniture finish, the item looks like it belongs in the room.

The unit is a 90lb beast, but it came packaged in two layers of boxes, each with double-thick cardboard. Getting it out of the box is definitely a two person job, but helps to re-iterate that this isn't your mother's janky Bose dock. The unit has amazing sound, ultra-crisp, and amazingly balanced. It's way more powerful than anything I'll be able to utilize in our apartment. At times I think it's taunting me, almost as if the XL *wants* to be turned up to volumes that will make the neighbors bang on our walls. A bit of a downside, the unit comes with an instructional CD that showcases the highs and lows of the XL. In a bit of irony, the stupid thing won't eject. We don't listen to CDs, so I'm not especially concerned, but you'd think that a $2,000 system wouldn't struggle with something as basic. Also, weirdly (and I might be wrong here) but I don't think ours came with a dock adapter for the iPhone 4.

Geneva. Simply sophisticated sound.
Geneva Sound Systems, based in Switzerland, is passionate about designing and engineering high quality sound products that are easy to use and effortless to fit into a home. Geneva is minimalist about features, adding only those functions that are essential to a good experience.
Geneva Sound Systems revolutionized home audio in 2006 as the first to fuse an iPod dock into a high-end stereo system, using patented technologies to enhance compressed music files for three-dimensional sound from a single cabinet. Unlike conventional hi-fi, Geneva Sound Systems allow the listener to get up and move around the room. Wherever the listener is in the room, the distance to the right and left speaker is the same, thus maintaining a good stereo image throughout a room.
Copied by many, Geneva Sound Systems remain unmatched in quality and ease of use.View other products from Geneva Sound Systems
