Human beings' ancient custom of gift-giving inspired the founding of Goods in 1995.
Today Goods offers an established collection of home accessories and small furniture by Dutch designers, from internationally known names to young creators just starting out. Goods takes the initiative in developing new products; while other designs come from designers who approach them with an idea or a design. When an object fits into the Goods collection, they work together with its creator to get it ready for production. Goods products are part of important international museum collections, from the Museum of Modern Art in New York to the Reykjavik Art Museum in Iceland, and are sold around the world in places such as Dubai, Cyprus and Istanbul.
After completing his studies at the Rietveld Academy, Henk Stallinga set up his agency in Amsterdam in 1994 and started designing his own series of products. He also participated with a number of projects, including the Young Industrial Designers exhibition in the Stedelijk Museum (1994) and a 'Dutch Design in het Garden Café' exhibition in the Museum for Modern Art in New York (1995). Stallinga BV designed its extensive series of products on its own initiative, varying from furniture to lighting, from vases to handbags and will continue to do so alongside the customer designs. A major part of the Stallinga Collection can be found in museums right across the world.View other products by Henk Stallinga
