Eames® Wire Base Table, Outdoor
Overview
Design by Charles & Ray Eames, 1950.
Made in the U.S.A. by Herman Miller.
Charles and Ray Eames's diminutive and versatile Wire Base Tables were originally designed for serving traditional Japanese tea ceremony to special guests at their home. And now, the tables take on a new life as Outdoor Tables introduced by Herman Miller in spring 2012. True to the originals, these 10-inch-high tables offer low surfaces with stone table tops and powder coated wire bases suited to the great outdoors.
The intricate base features two U-shaped steel rods attached to the top while cross members add stability. The tabletop is available in Black, White or Grey marbles or Black granite, with an option of White or Graphite Satin base finishes. Suitable for indoor/outdoor use.
Notes:
Marble is locally sourced from quarries in the U.S. and Canada. All Herman Miller outdoor products carry a 3 year warranty.

A chair that looked like a potato chip. Another that resembled a "well-used first baseman's mitt." A folding screen that rippled...
With a grand sense of adventure, Charles and Ray Eames turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team. Their unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Playful and functional. Sleek, sophisticated, and beautifully simple. That was and is the "Eames look."
That look and their relationship with Herman Miller started with molded plywood chairs in the late 1940s and includes the world-renowned Eames lounge chair, now in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
