SAYL™ Side Chair with Arms, 4-Leg Base
Overview
Design by Yves Béhar, 2010.
Made in the U.S.A. by Herman Miller.
SAYL™ Side Chairs can move seamlessly from conference to work group and back again. They have been designed to take up less visual space while fitting 5 to 98 percent of the population. And you can stack this 4-Leg version with arms up to four high for easy storage. As with the entire SAYL line, the Side Chairs feature elegant styling at an attainable price.
Designer Yves Béhar is known for integrating environmental responsibility into his designs and their applications. With SAYL, he went a step further, starting the design process by thinking about what could be removed. How could he use the least possible material and still achieve the highest standards? The answer, of course, was to use materials in innovative ways. SAYL Side Chairs feature a 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material on the seat back which offers a flexible, yet supportive sitting experience. Together with a sleek, upholstered seat pan and a durable, lightweight frame, the chair demands little space while offering versatility, high-quality, beautiful design and comfort that lives up to Herman Miller's standards. And using fewer parts and less material ultimately means less cost and a smaller carbon footprint. SAYL is 92% recyclable and US-made, using 100% green technology.
The SAYL Side Chair with Arms is offered in three frame finishes with a choice of seat back/seat pan colors on a 4-Leg base and features fixed arms. The seat back is 3D mesh, paired with a foam cushioned, upholstered seat in Crossing fabric. Comes standard with acetal glides, suitable for carpeted floors which can be upgraded to hard floor glides or casters.
