A classic, quickly delivered.
This is what modernism was supposed to lead to but rarely has: affordable style for the masses. This chair has rightly become a classic. I bought one to use at my desk in my studio apartment, and it adds a little class to the joint. The light gray is very light, which worked out nicely; it registers as another shade of white in my mostly white space. I was also impressed with how quickly the chair was delivered -- three days after I ordered it.

Excellent multi-purpose chair
Just bought 6 of these chairs in white for use in a Florida home where the idea is indoor furniture that can transfer outdoors for expanded living. Love the creamy, warm white color. The polypropylene has a weighty feel even though the back and legs are elegantly thin. The thinness of the back allows plenty of "give" making the chair quite comfortable to sit in. Yet the strength of the material makes it sturdy and suitable for contract use. Does not take up a lot of visual space. Or floor space. A great buy at a great price.

Bellini chair-surprisingly comfortable
Just received the light and the dark grey Bellini chairs. Purchased to match other furnishings. Both greys are on the cold side. Sat in the chair and found it quite comfortable! Relatively sturdy and handsome.
Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
Y-Tower
Y-Tower is the primary support structure of Herman Miller's SAYL™ Chair. The Y-Tower retains tension, replacing the traditional frame of task chairs. It works like the towers from which a bridge is suspended and combines with a 3D Intelligent suspension material to provide frameless back support that hugs the user's back from resting through reclining, forward leaning and twisting motions.
