Charles and Ray Eames brought a sense of play to all their work, including the Hang-It-All. It took the everyday coat rack to a new place that was inventive and fun. More than just a conversation piece, the Hang-It-All holds anything that slips over its hooks in nine playful colors.
Made of welded steel, the wire frame attaches directly to walls or other surfaces. It features a White powder-coat finish for durability under daily use. For secure mounting, drywall anchors and screws are included.

With a grand sense of adventure, Charles and Ray Eames turned their curiosity and boundless enthusiasm into creations that established them as a truly great husband-and-wife design team. Their unique synergy led to a whole new look in furniture. Lean and modern. Playful and functional. Sleek, sophisticated, and beautifully simple. That was and is the "Eames look."
That look and their relationship with Herman Miller started with molded plywood chairs in the late 1940s and includes the world-renowned Eames lounge chair, now in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
Beginning in the mid-1940s and continuing throughout their careers, Charles and Ray Eames designed a variety of whimsical toys and furniture pieces specifically for children, including this 1953 piece for Tigrett Enterprises Playhouse Division.
The Hang-It-All, along with molded plywood animals, small-scale chairs and tables, elaborate cardboard-and-paper masks, and brightly colored building blocks, were all given the same careful design consideration as the couple's furniture designs. To achieve the Hang-It-All's spidery base, the Eameses used the mass-production techniques for welding wires that they developed for their wire-base tables and wire chairs.

Can't really hang it all but very sturdy
You can't hang smaller things like keys as the colorful balls are larger than you might expect. Other than that, it's exactly what you would expect, and very sturdy. We hang things like bike helmets and backpacks on it, as well as jackets.

Excellent condition and functions well.
The product arrived in excellent condition and provides the desired hanging function for hats, coats, and bags.
Negatives: appearance with hats, etc. on it is a little cluttered. Also, needed help from my superintendent to attach it securely to the wall.

Herman Miller's 3D Intelligent back material is a seating technology designed for the SAYL™ Chair. The 3-dimensional mesh-like suspension material is stretched from the Y-Tower at the back of the chair just as cables are stretched from the towers of a suspension bridge. The tension is greater in the transition areas, from the thoracic to the lumbar regions and between the lumbar area and sacrum. "Hinge points" allow these areas to flex and support the healthy, forward rotation of the pelvis. At the same time, less tension in other parts of the back encourages a full range of seated movement.
Y-Tower
Y-Tower is the primary support structure of Herman Miller's SAYL™ Chair. The Y-Tower retains tension, replacing the traditional frame of task chairs. It works like the towers from which a bridge is suspended and combines with a 3D Intelligent suspension material to provide frameless back support that hugs the user's back from resting through reclining, forward leaning and twisting motions.
