Huppe was founded in 1967 in Quebec, by Raymond Hamel and his two brothers, Aurele and Sylvio. The company had a small beginning, in Aurele's home basement, with the family crafting cedar storage chests. Huppe's cedar chests quickly found their way into several Canadian homes, from Halifax to Vancouver, and Huppe has been growing ever since. Over the last several decades, they have left Aurele's basement behind for a large manufacturing facility and have been evolving their assortment to include full modern collections for nearly every room in the home.
In 2010, Huppe was acquired by Jean-Francois Nolin. With his vision for the company combined with Huppe 's 20+ years in specializing specifically in modern furniture, Huppe is making its mark as a leader and expert in innovative and sophisticated design. This new collection of home furnishings are made from specially selected solid hardwood and high quality wood veneers, like American walnut. With a dedication to high quality materials and craftsmanship, it is clear why customers are drawn to the line and its unique assortment.
