Unique item, but could be better in some areas

first off this is a really cool calculator. i use it as a stand alone so i cant comment on how it performs as a USB keyboard addon. everything works and it makes a nice clicky noise when you press the buttons! people love it and cant resist giving it a go. here are my nitpicks: - the product is extremely light weight. i would have liked some heft and weight to it rather than a cheap plastic feel. - uses a weird battery size. a more standard battery would have been preferred. - would be nice to have a display that tilts towards you for easier viewing. a backlit display would have been amazing. - biggest gripe is the keyswitch (this is for mechanical keyboard snobs). from what i can tell this uses a replica of the alps switch and its kind of pingy and sometimes misses light keysytrokes. i wish they used a real high quality alps switch instead. overall a cool item, but for the money i feel like they could have gone with higher quality components.

Works are included in the permanent collections of the MoMA, New York; Centre Pompidou, Paris; State Museum of Applied Arts, Munich; The Israel Museum, Jerusalem; and the Museum Fur Kunsthandwerk, Frankfurt.
