Marc Newson is known as one of the most acclaimed influential designers of his generation. He was included in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People in the World and has received recognition globally. He has worked across a wide range of mediums including furniture, household accessories, transportation crafts and architecture.

Newson was appointed The Royal Designer for Industry in the UK, along with receiving an honorary doctorate from Sydney University, Adjunct Professorships at Sydney College of the Arts and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His most recent award was the CBE, Commander of the Order of the British Empire, by Her Majesty the Queen.
