Designer: Flemming Hoejfeldt
Flemming Hoejfeldt was born in 1950 in Denmark and is the owner and CEO of Innovation. The inventive and multi-skilled entrepreneur founded the company back in 1971, where he functioned successfully as designer, engineer and production manager in one. His first design was the Delta-bag, which in 2006 was re-launched as the Player beanbag. Today he has specialized staff, but as a truly autodidact person, Flemming Hoejfeldt still keeps an eye on every step of the process at Innovation, and is happy to take the challenge, whenever obstacles occur. He keeps his feet on the ground and yet never misses a good opportunity to develop design or business. Flemming Hoejfeldt is the driving power behind the worldwide expansion of Innovation as well as several good design ideas.View other products by Flemming Hoejfeldt

Innovation. Combining decades of experience in the furniture business with an eagerness to evolve and surprise.
Innovation was founded in 1971 in Denmark by Flemming Hoejfeldt, who is still the owner and Chairman of the company. Inspired by his personal experience with the first production communities of the flower power generation, he started the company with a production of beanbags. For 15 years Innovation functioned as a supplier for the furniture industry, but at the end of the 80's the desire to produce its own designs took over.
The company began its new direction with a competition among design students at the School of Architecture in Aarhus and ended up with a concept for contemporary sofa sleepers. As the concept grew, Innovation was rewarded with several design prizes and engaged in a very fruitful cooperation with the famous Danish designer, Verner Panton.
Innovation USA was founded in 1991 and today is an international furniture enterprise with production facilities in Denmark and China. Their designs are available around the globe.
As an international company, Innovation considers it their duty to contribute to better working conditions and a cleaner environment for all. Innovation has a certified environmental profile and all recyclable waste, like cardboard, plastic, iron and metal, is separated and used in other productions. Residual, combustible waste is incinerated in low-pollution plants. Packaging is reduced to the minimum needed for safe transportation. By embracing their environmental responsibility, Innovation designs have a clear vision for the future. Now that's evolved.View other products from Innovation Living
