Pepe Cortès' 1993 Jamaica Low Stool features a cast aluminum seat created with the contours of the body in mind. Constructed in anodized cast aluminum, the stool is recommended for high-usage areas and is 100% recyclable. The design is lightweight and easily portable for entertaining or breakout areas. Seats swivel 360°, above the sturdy tubular metal frame atop rolling casters for workspaces that require ready mobility.

I use this mobile stool so that I can turn on and off various parts of my audio system and load CDs and LPs. The stool is very comfortable, and it's quite good looking as well!

A native of Barcelona, Pepe Cortès established the design group Grupo Abierto de Diseno, designed stores and offices, furnished resturaunts with Oscar Tusquets, collaborated with Javier Mariscal to design furniture and took part in countless other collaborations. From 1984 to 1988 he was part of the committee for the FAD Awards, or Fomento de las Artes Decorativas, and won the first prize FAD public opinion award from 1983 to 1990.
