This KnollStudio Classic was one of the first designs commissioned by Knoll. The knoll kids versions of these classic chairs are durable and kid-friendly with sunny colors in the woven webbed seating and an easy-to-clean lacquered wooden surface. The nylon/cotton strapping is even water repellent. Features mortise and tenon wooden construction in the Scandinavian Modernist style.
Select with webbed seat only (chair on right) or with webbed seat and back (chair on left). The Childメs Risom Chairs are available in Blue, Green, Orange and Red nylon webbing.
Notes:
Please note that the strapping colors offered with Risom Child's Chairs do not match the colors offered with the adult Risom Chairs. Risom Child's Chairs are GreenGuard certified.

Designer: Jens Risom
Jens Risom, who designed the first Knoll chair in 1941, received his education in Denmark at the Krebs' School, St. Anne Vester School, University of Copenhagen and Copenhagen's Kunståndvaerkerskolen. He worked as a designer of furniture and interiors in the Copenhagen office of architect Ernst Kuhn. After moving to the United States, he became the design director of Dan Cooper in New York and also designed for Georg Jensen. Responsible for designs dating to the mid-20th century, Risom is a trustee of the Rhode Island School of Design and was knighted by Queen Margrethe of Denmark in 1966.
